Pefkoulia Beach
Pefkoulia beach is on the West Coast of Lefkas, immediately to the north of Agios Nikitas Village and about 20 minutes drive West and South of Lefkada Town. Pefkoulia Beach is one of the most easily accessible beaches by car. There are a taverna and car parking. In August the car parks get full quickly in the morning and you might have to park along the main road.
Pefkoulia beach is sand/shingle and long, with plenty of room. Even in August there is still room for everyone.
The beach shelves steeply, so be cautious.
If you are driving to Pefkoulia Beach from Lefkada Town, be sure to stop at the roadside car parking area on the main road high above the North end of the beach. From here you can get fantastic views south along the beach to Agios Nikitas. The views over Pefkoulia beach are especially impressive the day after a storm, as the while limestone sand at the bottom of the sea is washed up and forms amazing patterns of light blue and white in the sea.
The local bus to Aghios Nikitas passes beside Pefkoulia beach, but the easiest way to get there is by car.
